The African Hemp Coffee Company is a small-batch coffee roaster in Cape Town, South Africa and in Newark and Portland in the USA.

After having hand-roasted coffees for many years, we pride ourselves on producing a coffee with a beautiful aroma and the intrinsics benefits of cannabidiol (CBD), resulting in a premium tasting coffee that makes you energetic and focussed without the anxiety associated to caffeine.

A Swiss and a South African walked into a coffee shop...

A story about how it all began...

It was in a small coffee shop in Cape Town that a Swiss coffee roaster and a South African putting coach started talking about their coffee knowledge.

With the South African having traveled a fair bit in his profession as a professional putting coach and the Swiss coffee roaster being, well, just being Swiss... the discussion about the world's best coffee quickly got heated. It was there that the 2 made a wager to find the world's smartest coffee...

We will spare you the details of their year that followed, but needless to say, that it was an adventure that both men won't quickly forget. Our Swiss coffee roaster did what all Swiss would do and focus on the perfection of finding the best blend of coffee beans. It is one of the sublime Swiss characteristics to look at the product's quality and refine it with fine Swiss engineering.

The South African - being the putting coach - looked at the problem from a different angle. Having tried to make people smarter in the noble game of golf, he asked himself if it could be possible to make a coffee that could

make people smarter. Now for the fine people who play the game, they will know that one needs to be relaxed to play well. As such, it didn't take long, and the South African started experimenting with infusing the purest African hemp with his coffee.

Exactly a year to the date, in the exact same small coffee shop in South Africa, the Swiss and the South African came together again to - as they saw it - collect their well-earned wager. There was definitely no lack of confidence in both of them.

The Swiss demonstrated that his unique combination of Southern American Arabica beans with the bold African Robusta beans was what the perfect coffee was all about. A good caffeine dose from the Robusta beans made naturally sweet with the finest Brazillian Arabica beans for a nutty and creamy palet.

Being a real craftsman in the trade of coffee beans roasting, the Swiss had perfectly roasted each bean to get the best out of his blend of coffee beans.

The South African being well aware of the fine intrinsics that African hemp and the cannabidiol (CBD) coming from it possesses, the South African had crafted the perfection of extracting the cannabidiol flavonoids from the finest African hemp he could find and infused it with a blend of local coffee beans.

Robusta beans or was it the fact that the South African had created a coffee with the world's most unique CBD infused into it... Still, after several hours of debating and harassing strangers on the streets of Cape Town to ask for their opinion, they came up with the idea to combine their findings in a single coffee product.

The result of all of this? A rare blend of coffee that will give you the energy and kick of caffeine on a beautiful pallet of long lingering, sweet, and nutty flavors without any acidity. This, with the CBD benefits, puts you in a calm and relaxed state of mind while removing the anxiety effects that come with a caffeine kick. Could the world get any better? We don't think so, especially not after drinking our CBD infused coffee.
